Use this guide to configure Filevine to work with Zapier by following the steps outlined below: Step 1. Create a Service Account for Zapier; Step 2. Enable the Zapier Integration; and Step 3. Create a Personal Access Token (PAT).
ℹ️ Note: The the old version of the connector (v2.4.4 and v2.4.6) was deprecated and made unavailable on: December 2nd, 2025. Please follow the article below to setup Filevine for Zapier, and then upgrade your existing Zaps to restore your Zapier automations if they were paused/disabled.
⚠️ Note: You must have "Tenant Admin" access to follow Steps 1-3 below. If you do not see the Service Accounts or Integrations menus in Filevine, you may need to request more access from your account admin.
⚙️ Step 1: Enable the Zapier Integration
- Log in to Filevine as an Account Admin.
- Click the hamburger menu (☰) in the top-left corner.
- Go to Advanced.
- In the left-side dropdown menu, click Integrations.
- Scroll down or search to find Zapier at the bottom of the list.
- In the same row, click the Activate button on the right. Once activated, the button will become a red "Deactivate" button, as seen in Figure 1 below, to let you know that the integration has been activated.

🧱 Step 2: Create a Service Account for Zapier
- While still in the Advanced section in Filevine, select Service Accounts.
- Under Service Accounts, click on “Search for an Org” and select the tenant you want to connect Zapier to.
- Check if a Zapier-related service account already exists--look for an account with an email address similar to:
zapier@filevine-cpi-service-accounts.com
• If not, click the “+ New” button in the top-right corner (shown boxed in red in Figure 2 below).

- In the "New Service Account" popup:
• Click on the first dropdown beneath "New Service Account", and select Zapier from the dropdown list (see arrow 1. in Figure 3 below).
• Under Permissions, leave All Permissions selected.
• Click Create (see arrow 2. in Figure 3 below).

🔐 Step 3: Create a Personal Access Token (PAT)
- While logged into your Filevine account, click your user icon (your initials) in the top-right corner of the page.
- Select Manage My Account.
- Once you're in the "Account Manager" area, click Access Tokens in the left-side menu.
- Ensure the Personal Access Tokens tab is selected, and click the “+ New” button (See 1. in Figure 4 below).
- Fill out the form that appears beneath the button:
• Name: Choose something like: "Zapier".
• User: Type in "Zapier", and select the Zapier service account, which looks like:zapier@filevine-cpi-service-accounts.com, as the User/Service account.
• Scopes: At a minimum, select:
• ✅ Filevine API Access
• ✅ Webhook API Access - Click Create in the bottom right-hand corner (See arrow 2. in Figure 4 below).
- Copy and securely save the Personal Access Token shown — it will not be shown again.
- Click Done.

You can now proceed with connecting to Filevine in Zapier.
